For more than ten years, the Department for Gardaland Resort's "Progetti per conoscere" has been working for education, offering schools subjects for in depth study and laboratories for scientific and technical discussions which create a framework for Gardaland Park and, since 2008, have been expanding their educational proposals with offers involving Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium.
"Progetti per conoscere" is made up of experts from different sectors - all with experience in the world of schools and education - capable of facing and answering the demands of teachers and students from every school level (from kindergarten to 2^nd grade secondary school). The "Progetti per conoscere" aim to teach and supply in depth studies on specific subjects with a non traditional method, most often based on hands-on experience and memorable and fun experience.

The school activities include guided tours of the different educational laboratories and of themed studies at Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium, up to lessons in marine biology at the Palablu within Gardaland Park.

The education within Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium goes on all year and is to be paid for. The marine biology lessons inside Gardaland Park take place during the months of April and May, and are free of charge. THE FIRST THEMED AQUARIUM IN ITALY

The spectacular themed Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium is part of a network of aquariums which have been in Europe and many countries around the world for more than 30 years. Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium is spread over more than 3,500 square meters, 3,000 of which are covered, and houses more that 5,000 aquatic examples of more than 150 species.

There are fresh water fish, but also the very colourful tropical fish, seahorses, sea lions and sharks. In this huge Aquarium, many different natural ecosystems have been recreated which can ideally go over the "trail" from the mountain waters down to Lake Garda, thus crossing the Po Delta to the Mediterranean and the great oceans. Multi-media back up and the constant assistance from the staff along the way will make the visit experience even more unique and memorable. The Aquarium is open all year. The best period for school groups to visit Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium is between October and March, on working days.

For kindergartens, we propose - apart from the free visit - guided tours and educational laboratories; for elementary schools, and 1^st grade secondary schools, apart from the free visit, guided tours and educational laboratories, we also offer themed studies on 4 different subjects; for 2^nd grade secondary schools, you can choose between themed guided tours, free visits and themed studies.

AN EXCITING JOURNEY AMONGST CULTURE AND FUN

Every year, more than 70,000 students of all ages enjoy the educational experience at Gardaland Park, the largest and most "ancient" amusement park in Italy. Spread over 500,000sqm, the Park houses many different worlds able to relate, through very detailed scenographic reconstructions, historical impressions, geographical discoveries, adventure travels, the fascination of mythology and all the thrills of imagination.

Gardaland Park will be renovating more that 40 internal attractions - from Raptor, a masterpiece of engineering, the "Fuga da Atlantide", which tells the story of the lost continent, to the exciting atmosphere of the English Pirates to numerous other shows, capable of satisfying the demands of students of all ages.

The ambient, richly stimulating and able to intrigue small children and young people, makes the school trip a unique and fun learning experience and makes Gardaland Park the ideal place for learning and teaching.

Our staff of experts are available to teachers and their students to give interesting lessons in marine biology during April and May, but during all opening days, teachers can enjoy a special rate for schools and can accompany their students on a visit.

Marine biology lessons are held in the Palablu and always include the spectacular presentation of dolphins. The contents are in modules according to the participating students' ages (from kindergarten to 2^nd grade secondary school).
